ADS 760 Course Overview
The ADS 760 course titled, ‘Ethical Practices in Leadership and Policy' was designed to explore the ethical foundations of organizations on the micro level through a review of the organization’s daily activities and at the macro level through a review of the organization’s practices and policies.
Students had opportunities to reflect on their personal code of ethics and organizational ethics and also analyze ethical dilemmas that impact leadership decisions in real-life situations.
The assignments for this course included an essay on one’s personal code of ethics, an essay on organizational ethics, and a final paper on a larger political, social, and economic ethical issue. There were also group assignments on case studies concerning ethical dilemmas.

Standard 1:
Program completers understand and demonstrate the capacity to promote a visionary mindset and continuously develop, advocate for, and enact a mission and core values that are shared with and supported by organizational stakeholders.
Standard 2:

Standard 5:
Program completers understand and demonstrate a capacity to model integrity, fairness, equity, and ethical purpose while also personifying optimism, perseverance, self-efficacy, and composure.
Standard 6:
Program completers understand and demonstrate a capacity to appreciate, respond to, and influence the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural contexts through their research, analysis, and evaluation of procedures and policies and empower others to join in the process with them.
Standard 7:
Program completers understand and demonstrate the capacity to cultivate relationships with members of the business, civic, and policy community in support of their advocacy for the organization and larger community needs.
